Shamis Wellness Policies

Health and Beauty Aesthetics Clinic In Enfield

These are the clinic policies for Shamis Health & Beauty — a private health and beauty aesthetic clinic based in Enfield, North London. Whether you're booking a blood test, an IV drip, a facial, or an injectable treatment, these policies apply to every client and every appointment. Please read them before you book. By making an appointment, you're confirming that you've understood and agreed to everything outlined below.

📋 Booking & Appointment Policy

How to Book an Appointment

You can book online through our website, call us directly, send us an email, or simply pop in. All bookings are subject to availability. Your appointment is only confirmed once you've received a written confirmation from us.

Deposits

A non-refundable deposit may be required when you book. The amount will be made clear at the time of booking and deducted from your total on the day of your visit.

Arriving on Time

Please aim to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your appointment. If you're more than 15 minutes late, your treatment time may be reduced. In some cases — particularly for longer treatments — we may need to reschedule entirely. This isn't about being strict; it's about protecting the quality of your treatment and the appointments of other clients.

Your First Visit

Every new client starts with a consultation. Before anything else, your practitioner will sit with you, understand your concerns, and recommend the right treatment for your needs. No rushing. No guesswork.

Rescheduling

Life happens. If you need to move your appointment, please let us know as early as possible. Where it doesn't disrupt clinic operations, we will do our best to accommodate you.

❌ Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Our practitioners' time is just as valuable as yours. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows make it impossible for other clients to access appointments they need. So here's how we handle it.

Notice Period Required

48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule without charge.

Cancel with less than 48 hours' notice and you may be charged up to 50% of the treatment cost, or lose your deposit.

No-Shows

If you don't attend and don't contact us beforehand, your deposit will be retained in full. Repeat no-shows may result in a requirement to pay in full at the time of booking going forward.

Courses of Treatment

If you've purchased a treatment course and cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, that session may be counted as used.

How to Cancel

Call us ON : 07432289084

or email us as early as you can. The sooner we know, the sooner we can offer that slot to someone else — and the more likely it is that charges won't apply.

💷 Refund Policy

Completed Treatments

Once a treatment has been carried out, it is non-refundable. We invest significant time in consultations and tailored treatment planning to make sure you're making the right decision before you commit.

Medical Unsuitability

If it becomes clear during your consultation that a treatment is medically unsuitable for you, a refund will be considered. Evidence from a medical professional may be required.

Adverse Reactions

Should a clinically significant adverse reaction occur and your practitioner decides it's unsafe to continue, a refund or credit for remaining sessions will be offered. Their clinical judgement is final.

Treatment Courses and Packages

Packages are sold at a discounted rate and are non-refundable once the first session has taken place. If you decide not to continue part-way through, completed sessions will be valued at the full standard price — not the discounted package rate. Any remaining balance will be issued as a credit note, valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Products

Products purchased in the clinic and taken off-site are non-refundable, unless they are faulty.

Gift Vouchers

Gift voucher sales are final. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, replaced if lost, or used for change on lower-value treatments.

Online Purchases — Cooling-Off Period

If you buy a package online or over the phone, UK Consumer Contract Regulations may entitle you to a 14-day cooling-off period. This right ends once treatment has begun and you've given consent for it to start within that 14-day window.

Pricing

Our prices may change without prior notice. Any price confirmed in your consultation takes precedence over any figure shown on our website.

🩺 Consultation Policy

Every new client must complete a consultation before any treatment takes place. This isn't optional — it's how we keep you safe and get you the best possible results.

What Your Consultation Covers:

1. A full health or skin assessment

2. A review of your medical history, medications, and lifestyle

3. Identification of any contraindications

4. Honest expectation-setting

5. A personalised treatment recommendation

Your Responsibility to Be Honest!

Tell us everything relevant. That means all medical conditions, current medications, known allergies, previous treatments, and anything else that might affect your care. If you withhold information and something goes wrong as a result, the clinic cannot accept liability.

Our Right to Decline Treatment

We may decline to treat you if we have clinical or professional concerns. This might be because of suitability, unrealistic expectations, or safeguarding considerations. It's a decision made in your best interest, always.

Consultation Fees

Consultation fees are non-refundable. Depending on the treatment, this fee may be credited against the cost of your first appointment.

✍️ Informed Consent Policy

No treatment at Shamis Health & Beauty will be carried out without your full, written, informed consent. That's non-negotiable.

The Consent Process

Before treatment begins, you'll be asked to complete and sign a consent form confirming that you:

Understand what the treatment involves, including its risks and benefits. Have had the chance to ask questions and received clear answers Are proceeding voluntarily with realistic expectations.

Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw consent at any point before a treatment starts. No questions asked.

Clinical Photography.

Before-and-after photographs may be taken for your clinical record. These are stored securely and are never used publicly without your separate, explicit written consent.

Consent Records

We document how and when consent was obtained as part of your client file.

🔞 Age Restriction Policy

Cosmetic Injectables

It is illegal under the Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021 to administer Botox or cosmetic fillers to anyone under the age of 18 for cosmetic purposes. Shamis Health & Beauty fully complies with this law, with no exceptions.

Age Verification

We reserve the right to ask for valid photo ID — a passport or driving licence — from any client who appears to be under 25, before proceeding with any injectable or prescription-only treatment.

All Other Treatments

Clients must be 18 or over to receive treatments at our clinic, unless the treating practitioner specifies otherwise and written parental or guardian consent is obtained where applicable.

🔬 Prescription-Only Medicines (POM) Policy

Some of the treatments we offer — including Botulinum Toxin — are classified as prescription-only medicines (POMs) in the UK. This has specific legal implications.

Prescribing Requirements

POMs can only be prescribed following a face-to-face consultation with a qualified prescriber: a doctor, dentist, prescribing nurse, or pharmacist. As of 1 June 2025, the Nursing and Midwifery Council requires nurse and midwife prescribers to carry out this consultation in person before prescribing non-surgical cosmetic medicines.

We work within this framework without exception.

Advertising Restrictions

UK regulations prohibit the direct promotion of prescription-only medicines to the public. This means Botox and similar treatments are not advertised on our social media channels or website in a manner that breaches MHRA or ASA guidelines. All our marketing is regularly reviewed for compliance.

🧴 Health, Safety & Hygiene Policy

Every treatment room, every piece of equipment, and every procedure at Shamis Health & Beauty meets the highest standards of hygiene and clinical safety.

Infection Control

All treatment areas are cleaned and disinfected between clients

Single-use sterile equipment is used for all injectable and clinical treatments

Reusable equipment is sterilised in accordance with current UK guidance

All staff follow strict hand hygiene protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment

Treatment Risk Classification

The UK Government uses a traffic-light framework to classify the risk level of non-surgical cosmetic procedures. We apply this across our full treatment menu:

🟢 Green Procedures — Lower-risk treatments (such as facials, waxing, standard vitamin injections), carried out by our qualified practitioners

🟡 Amber Procedures — Medium-risk treatments that require specific qualifications or oversight

🔴 Red Procedures — High-risk treatments (such as certain injectables and deep chemical peels), restricted to regulated healthcare professionals in appropriate clinical settings.

Contraindications

Before every treatment, you'll be asked about possible contraindications. These include — but are not limited to:

Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area

Blood-thinning medication or clotting disorders

Autoimmune conditions

Known allergies to treatment products or ingredients

Recent surgery near the treatment area

If you do not disclose a relevant contraindication and something goes wrong, the clinic cannot be held responsible.
